Apex blogger and mistress of snark Tamara K.<\/a> has had a brush with a less than savory character named “Basal Cell Carcinoma”. As cancers go, this guy is the pre-game warm-up, but it’s best to nip it in the bud before it brings in its buddies for the main-event. <\/p>\n

Like many freelance writers, Tamara is, shall we say, “self-insured” when it comes to medical care, and there is no “discount cancer care” available. Things being as they are, a number of bloggers including myself have banded together to raise money to help Tamara pay for treatment.<\/p>\n
